- Children’s death benefit – will pay out £5,000 on top of any other payment already made.
- On the Upgraded plan, child death benefit starts from 24 weeks pregnancy.
- Hospital Benefit – if your child is hospitalised for more than 7 consecutive nights, due to any illness or injury, from the 8th night onwards Aviva will pay £100 a night for a maximum of 30 days.
- Advanced Inness Cover – Available on Upgraded CIC: Aviva will pay an additional £10,000 if your child is diagnosed with an advance or rapidly progressing illness that meets Aviva’s definition and haven’t already paid out under the extra care cover.
- Support Plus – Included in all cover taken from Aviva, available to policy holder and their immediate family. All are available from day 1, and you don’t need to be claiming to use them.

- Discounted Gym Membership – Available for Critical Illness contracts at no extra cost. Customers get discounted gym membership of up to 25% at selected gyms around the UK.
- Income Protection Specific Benefits
- Family Carer Benefit – Provides a monthly income of either the benefit chosen or £1500 a month, whichever is the lower, if your child or spouse suffers from an illness or injury that means they can’t perform certain activities of daily living for more than 3 months. Claims are payable for a maximum of 12mths during the policy term.
- Hospital Benefit – Will pay out £100 per night if the policyholder is hospitalised due to any illness or injury for more than 6 consecutive nights during your deferred period. Payable from the 7th night to a maximum of 90 nights during the policy term.

- Trauma Benefit – With certain events – such as Blindness or Loss of Limb – an extra payment would be on hand to help the policyholder with any adaptions needed. Aviva will make a one off payment of six times the amount of benefit, or £40,000 whichever is the lower, if you suffer one of six traumatic events.
- Maternity Cover – If you are taken ill or injured during the first 12mths your maternity/adoption/parental leave, Aviva will treat your claim as if you were still working
- Made Redundant? – If you are taken ill or injured once you’ve been made redundant, for the first 3mths, Aviva will treat your claim as if you were still in work.
- Out of Work? – Aviva will assess your claim based on the occupation you were doing in the 12mths before you stopped working, and pay a benefit for up to 12mths
- NHS Doctors & Surgeons – Tiered Sick Pay for GPs and Surgeons – we can fix their deferred period to 6mths full/6mths half – but they still will be paid in line with what the NHS provides
