I am very pleased to advise that Royal London will shortly update the COVID question on our online application journey. These changes will apply where cover is under £3m of Life Insurance / Critical illness and income protection products where customers are under age 80 as follows:

Remove 30 day time-frame causing issues

No longer ask about positive test

No longer ask about symptoms or self-isolation

New question(s) will simply be:

IMPORTANT: the existing COVID question / wording will remain in the application process for now (ahead of an anticipated update in May), but COVID within the last 30 days, a positive test, symptoms or self isolation will no longer be cause to postpone, as per the soon- to- be updated Extranet journey above.

Large sum assured business may need vaccination for older lives or where ratings are higher, but we have typically been establishing this from the routine medical requirements so we don’t anticipate this causing problems.

Great feed back the Royal London are being more understanding around families and Covid. Meaning families hopefully ca  get protected with delay but as we always say not all Insurance providers are the same please get in touch for more information
